Your cells.Our custody.
These clauses are the heart of our contract. Each is written twice: once as it stands, once in plain words beside it. The formal agreement you sign says the same.

The clauses
- 1. Ownership
- The cells, and every line and vial derived from them, remain the property of the owner of the animal.
- 2. Custody
- Reem Bio is custodian, not owner. We store, test and use cells only as the owner instructs in writing.
- 3. Continuity
- If Reem Bio closes, merges or is sold, samples pass to a named successor custodian with 90 days' notice, and the owner has the right to transfer the line to another laboratory at no charge.
- 4. Confidentiality
- The identity of owners and animals, and all genetic data, are confidential and never disclosed without written consent, except where law requires.
- 5. Withdrawal
- The owner may withdraw or destroy the line at any time by written instruction. Destruction is confirmed in writing for both sites.
- 6. Inheritance
- The right to a sample can be assigned to a named heir, and passes to the owner's estate where no heir is named.
- 7. Insurance
- Stored vials are covered by the custodian's insurance against loss at a storage site. Mirroring is our first protection; insurance is our second.
- 8. Data
- Genetic data is stored encrypted, used only for the services you request, and deleted on request with the line.
They are yours.
We look after them. We do not decide for you.
Your line does not end with us.
No one learns about your animal from us.
You can stop at any time.
You can leave it to someone.
If a site is lost, the other still holds your line.
Your data follows your instructions.

Why these clauses
Cell banking lasts longer than most companies do. The continuity clause exists so that the life of your animal's line never depends on the life of ours. The successor custodian will be named in your agreement and on this page before any change takes effect.

If you need to
All requests go to info@reembio.com and are confirmed in writing.
- Transfer your line elsewhere
- Name the receiving laboratory. We prepare permits and ship in a dry vapour shipper.
- Appoint an heir
- Give the heir's name and contact. We confirm the assignment in writing.
- Withdraw and destroy
- Destruction at both sites is confirmed in writing.
- Request your growth record
- A copy is sent within five working days.
- Report a concern
- The laboratory director replies personally.
