How we serve Saudi Arabia today
We do not yet keep a laboratory inside Saudi Arabia, and we say so plainly. What exists today is a working route through partner veterinarians across the Kingdom, who take the biopsy under local anaesthetic in a clinic setting, and the sample travels chilled in transport medium to the laboratory and is placed in culture on arrival in Bahrain or Abu Dhabi.
For camel and horse owners, collection does not always need a clinic visit. Our mobile laboratory can travel to a farm or stable by arrangement, which matters for valuable racing and breeding animals that are better left at home. This is arranged individually – speak with us about dates and access before the visit.
Once collected, the sample is kept cool, never frozen, in the transport medium we provide. A day's chilled journey does not harm a skin biopsy; it is well within the window the cells tolerate.

What happens on arrival
On arrival at the laboratory, the sample is logged, cultured and tested over about three weeks. Once the line passes quality checks, half is kept at the receiving laboratory and half is shipped to the other Gulf site, so every line from Saudi Arabia ends up held in two cities, not one.

What a banked line makes possible
From a banked line, Saudi clients commonly pursue genetic testing for parentage and inherited conditions in camels and horses, veterinarian-prescribed regenerative therapy for performance animals, and – less often, and only after real consideration – cloning.
