There is no Reem Bio laboratory in Qatar today. A biopsy is taken by a partner veterinarian in a clinic setting, kept cool, never frozen, and travels chilled in transport medium to the laboratory and is placed in culture on arrival in Bahrain or Abu Dhabi.

For camel and horse owners, our mobile laboratory can be arranged to visit a farm or stable directly, so a valuable animal does not need to travel for the biopsy. This is arranged in advance, around the owner's schedule.

The sample is cultured and tested for about three weeks. Once the line is established, half remains at the receiving laboratory and half is sent to the other Gulf site, so a Qatari client's line is always held in two cities.

From a Qatari line, clients turn most often to genetic testing for breeding and parentage questions, to regenerative therapy prescribed by a treating veterinarian, and occasionally, later, to cloning.

Clients across the region move between us as their own travel allows. We also serve Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Sharjah, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, California, the United States and Japan. Wherever you are collected, the line is cultured once and mirrored in two cities before it is considered banked.
